About my Work

I have been developing a small line of one-of-a-kind garments and goods reusing various textiles that may have a different ending to their life.

The waste and pollution that occurs in the textile industry has come to a point not to be ignored. I started focusing on the reuse of some of my stash as well as remnants and donated fabrics to make useful and beautiful handmade accessories for living.

I have had a long history with textiles and needle crafts. Over the past ten years, I have focused on rug hooking. I have also continued to design costumes for theater and dance as well as custom sewing. Feel free to access my web page that features my rugs at https://www.jillstcoeurartrugs.com/.

I have designed several different styles of smocks/aprons, pencil and, eyeglass cases, small bags and pouches made with stunning vintage Japanese kimono fabrics as well as home goods including placemats, napkins, coasters and wine totes. More items will be added as they are made. Although my work is one-of-a-kind, I try to maintain consistent styles. I am open to making prototypes of any design ideas you may have.
